No subscription. Players: One Ages: 3 to 6 Engine: Godot 4.6 Music: Original — 100 BPM by day, 120 after dark Language: English Website: ernieinteractive.com Contact: hello@ernieinteractive.com IN ONE LINE ----------- A robot lands in the Cretaceous and starts a band. Wake each dinosaur, win it over at its own little game, and the song grows a layer for every dancer on the floor. IN A PARAGRAPH -------------- Dave the robot was sent back in time by accident. He finds a sleeping T rex who also wants friends — and that is the whole game: walk the seven screens of a small Cretaceous world, wake everybody up, and win each one over at the puzzle it sets. Every friend who joins adds their own instrument to the song, so the music you are listening to is a running count of how many friends you have made. THE LONG VERSION ---------------- Everything in Dinosaur Dance Party moves on the beat. Each dancer steps once per half-beat, read straight off the music's own playback position rather than off a timer of its own — which is why the floor never drifts apart. Daytime runs at 100 BPM; after dark the whole band moves up to 120. There are seven games among the friends, and none of them can be failed: a wrong answer just comes round again. There are no timers, no scores, no leaderboards and nobody is ever put out of the dance — the worst that happens is a dinosaur gets sleepy and would like an apple. THE SEVEN GAMES --------------- Matching (T rex) — Six cards face down, three pairs among them. Turn two over. Counting (Triceratops) — How many friends has the triceratops lined up? Answer with the number. Spelling (Brontosaurus) — Eleven letters laid out among the vines, picked in the right order. Cross the Lava (Utahraptor) — Join the numbered stepping stones in order to draw a path across. Ice Cream Scoop (Ankylosaurus) — Stack the scoops to match the cone in the bubble over his head. Shapes and Colors (Tejas) — Six shapes are out. Find the round one, or find the red one. Ice Skating (Spinosaurus) — Left, forward, right — and they are the spinosaurus's left and right. THE CAST -------- Dave — A robot who loves to dance, sent back in time by accident. T rex — The first friend you meet, asleep on the dance floor's edge. Triceratops — Lines friends up in the meadow and asks how many there are. Brontosaurus — Wants its own name spelled out, all eleven letters, in the jungle. Utahraptor — Stuck on the wrong side of the lava until you draw it a path. Ankylosaurus — Down on the beach, and would like a very specific ice cream. Tejas — A human child, the only one in the Cretaceous. Asks you to find a shape. Spinosaurus — Out on the snow at the end of the world, learning to skate.
